Past Projects and Items for Sale
Happy Valentine's Day! I whipped up some Valentine Bean Bags instead of giving paper cards this year. It was a fun way to use up some scrap fabrics left from other projects.
The fleece fabrics became two blankets and pillows for two great-nephews.
I altered a skirt I had owned for several years to make it less full, then used some of the extra fabric to create a matching skirt for my youngest granddaughter.
I had the honor of making some Memory Bears for a sweet lady. These were made from her late husband's shirts. I was able to make them about 12" tall using just one long sleeved shirt each.
This wonderful lady retired from the Kearney School district. She has served as an outstanding custodian, friend to teachers and students, and the person who can do anything! I was honored to have the opportunity to make this Tee Shirt Quilt for her on behalf of the Hawthorne Elementary staff.
The ladies in our high school choirs have beautiful black performance dresses for concerts.
We took a quick photo just before all these beautiful dresses starting being picked up. One wedding dress & 2 bridesmaid's dresses, 5 prom dresses, and another bridesmaid's dress. The fabric for two more prom dresses, a vest, and bow tie is in the bags on the floor.
These are the beautiful dresses that were still in bags in that post with all the prom & wedding dresses. These two lovely ladies wore their unique, especially made for them dresses and had a wonderful time making high school memories. One of the young men in the photo also wore a vest and bow tie made from my daughter's dress fabric.
Homecoming 2013. My daughter picked out exactly what she wanted for her dress, then helped with some of the sewing. Some of the fun of making clothes is that each piece is a unique, one of a kind creation.
My friend Ginny said I could share a photo of her. I made her Maid of Honor dress for a wedding in July. This photo was taken after our final fitting and hemming.
